Some may believe that the words “higher education” and “writing” are synonymous, because the level of thinking and hard work that goes into each act–and their payoff—go hand in hand. However, Writing Coordinator and Lecturer Judith Hilliard shows students that while there are distinct differences between the two, both are to be appreciated and embraced in order to become successful.
The award-winning professor and published author specializes in writing, teaching, tutoring and coordinating instruction workshops for English as a Second Language for all students, and co-authored “Visions Across the Americas: Short Essays for Composition, 6th Edition, Instructor’s Manual.” She also teaches all levels of writing for six departments: English, linguistics, African-American studies, management information systems, business, special education and mathematics.
Having boundless experience in the field of writing and higher education has given Ms. Hilliard an opportunity to show generations to come the path to victory. She feels grateful to have the chance to teach and help others grow, and looks forward to working with you!
